NGU Fall Retreat: Center for Peace
Retreat Information
Be on the lookout for symptoms of inner peace. The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to inner peace and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.
Some signs and symptoms of inner peace:
• A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.
• An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.
• A loss of interest in judging other people.
• A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.
• A loss of interest in conflict.
• A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom).
• Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
• Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.
• Frequent attacks of smiling.
• An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.
• An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.
“Center for Peace” is a time for personal retreat and spiritual renewal in Seymour, TN. Join in community with Unity’s young adults, ages 18-35, from around the southeast region as we explore God’s beautiful outdoors and the cores of our Beings.
We will participate in drumming circle and a sweat lodge, explore peace within, give of ourselves through service to the Center for Peace, and have time in the Smoky Mountains during beautiful Fall colors!
This is an opportunity to camp in a tent or you can sleep in the sound chamber.
We have lots of great activities planned for you! Please plan to attend!
Your registration fee includes 3 meals on Saturday, and a Sunday breakfast, showers, t-shirt, accommodations at the Center for Peace, lots of love and a wonderful time!

If you are in need of Child Care, please let us know in your registration. You must pre-register for this service.

Retreat Logistics:
Please bring with you comfortable clothing, a set of clothes you don’t mind getting dirty for a service project, towels, sheets/blankets/pillows/air mattress/tent, toiletries, your beautiful smiles and your loving hearts to enjoy a sacred weekend.
Cost:
$75 if paid by Sept 28th – After Sept. 28th the price is $90 cash at the door.
This is the first retreat that we have a facilities fee so we must have at least 24 people register in order to get tshirts for this event. Registering online guarantees an easy pre-registration.
